Aerik Williams, MD
Dr. Aerik Williams grew up in the Buckeye State before traveling east to Baltimore, Maryland to attend The Johns Hopkins University. While at Johns Hopkins he excelled both academically and athletically serving as a 2-year captain of the varsity soccer team. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended The Ohio State University where he earned his medical degree and a Master’s in Public Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital where he also served as a chief resident. “During my residency I had a natural inclination to the field of Allergy and Immunology. The pathophysiology of allergic disease sparked my curiosity and I therefore spent most of my time in my mentor’s Allergy clinic evaluating asthma, allergies and performing clinical research.” His Allergy and Immunology fellowship training was performed locally at Wake Forest.
Dr. Williams has published literature in The American Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Asthma and Allergy, and BioMed Research International. In addition, he has published and presented multiple abstracts at national Allergy and Immunology meetings.
