Madeline Dillon, MD
Dr. Dillon was first exposed to the allergy field when she worked as a Physician Assistant prior to attending medical school. She really enjoyed the variety of patients she saw in the allergy office and the fact that she could really help people feel better.
“I learned that educating patients about their allergies and asthma was the best way to empower them to take control of their diagnoses.”
These positive experiences stayed with her through her medical training and Dr. Dillon continues to strive to educate and involve her patients in their care. The world of allergy and immunology is an exciting place to practice, and she enjoys seeing both adults and children and a wide range of allergic diseases.
Dr. Dillon is originally from Virginia and feels lucky to be able to settle in Charlottesville, a place she came to love during medical school and residency training at the University of Virginia.
When not at work, Dr. Dillon and her husband Patrick, who is an oncologist at UVA, enjoy hiking, biking, or doing anything outdoors, spending time with family, and traveling.
