Pierre-Alain Dauby, MD
Dr. Dauby is board certified in adult and pediatric allergy & immunology. He received a B.A. with a major in biology from Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio and his M.D. from the military medical school Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. After medical school, he underwent five years of additional training in internal medicine and adult/pediatric allergy & immunology at the United States Air Force Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During his 12 years in active duty in the USAF, Dr. Dauby reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was chief of allergy & immunology at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland and RAF Lakenheath, England. During his tour in England, he also served as the allergy & immunology consultant to the United States Air Force European Command Surgeon General.
In 2008, he left the military to join the civilian world and worked with an allergy group in Northern Virginia, near Washington D.C. In 2010, he joined the Asthma Institute division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In July 2015, he decided to enter private practice.
Dr. Dauby started offering food oral immunotherapy in 2017 and food sublingual immunotherapy in 2020. Dr. Dauby has been recognized as one of Pittsburgh’s top doctors in Pittsburgh Magazine in 2021 , 2022, 2023 and 2024.
