Pooja Purswani, MD

Dr. Pooja Purswani graduated with the highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2017. She completed her pediatrics training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital from 2017-2020. During her residency, she participated in the Clinical Translational Research Track, which ultimately sparked her interest to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology at Duke.

While in fellowship, she also engaged in research through the UNC Food Allergy Initiative. She has presented posters at national meetings and has published articles in Frontiers of Pediatrics, Journal of Food Allergy, and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice.

Dr. Purswani practiced in Northern Virginia before joining Allergy Partners in 2023. Her clinical interests include food allergies, environmental allergies, and asthma.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants.
