Robert Cook, MD
Dr. Cook grew up in Brownsville, Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas in the Plan II Honors Program. In 1977, he received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Cook completed a three-year Internal Medicine Internship and Residency program at Washington University Medical School and the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis (now Barnes-Jewish), followed by a two-year fellowship program in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Colorado. Dr. Cook is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Cook began practicing in Austin in 1982 and has been in private practice since 1985. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, the American College of Allergy and Immunology, and the American Association of Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Since 2003, Dr. Cook has been on the list of Best Doctors in America. He has been named as one of Austin’s Best Doctors in Austin Monthly magazine and also selected as a Texas Monthly Super Doctor every year, since 2004. For many years he has also been listed as one of Castle Connally America’s Top Doctors and one of America’s Top Physicians by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.
Dr. Cook and his wife, Cheryl, have two adult children.
