Sean Lucas, MD
“I’ve been a southerner, roaming the southeast all of my life.”
Dr. Lucas was born, raised and completed undergraduate and graduate school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He completed his medical school at East Carolina University, in Greenville, NC, and 3-year residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and 2-year allergy, asthma, and immunology training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He worked briefly on faculty at the University of Virginia but was ready to get back to the Tar Heel state closer to his family and the ocean.
Dr. Lucas’ specialty of allergy provides him the opportunity to see children and adults with a variety of skin, lung and sinus conditions. The specialty focuses on identifying external substances that when eliminated from a patient’s life can result in significant improvement in the patient’s quality of life.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to work here in Wilmington with Drs Yip and Myers, they have become like family to me.”
In his spare time, he enjoys anything active and outdoors (running, biking, snowboarding, surfing, fishing, boating, camping), cooking, music, guitar, reading, yoga, and visiting his family in Chapel Hill.
