Thomas Makin, MD
Dr. Makin grew up in the western New York region. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Canisius College and attended medical school at the University at Buffalo, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Following medical school, he completed his internal medicine residency and allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of Virginia. During his fellowship training, Dr. Makin gained experience in caring for adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. Dr. Makin sees patients of all ages and has particular interests in urticaria (hives), eczema, asthma, environmental allergies, and food allergies.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, reading, and playing the piano.
